90 Year Ancient Wine Matrix

January 14th 2026

Most tastings are either vertical (same wine across vintages) or horizontal (different estates from the same vintage). A matrix tasting blends both: two estates across two far-apart years. Here we set 1928 (a legendary, ultra-long-lived Bordeaux year) against 2018 (a ripe, modern classic) to spotlight evolution, terroir, and cellar craft. Brane-Cantenac, a historic Second Growth prized for perfume, finesse, and layered nuance rather than sheer power—ageworthy yet classically elegant. Suduiraut Premier Cru of Sauternes renowned for botrytised Semillon-dominant blends delivering honeyed stone fruit, citrus peel, saffron and spice over vibrant acidity. A third wine TBD will be sourced to complete a 3x2 wine matrix. This evening will be a once in a lifetime opportunity!

  • 1928 Brane-Cantenac

  • 2018 Brance-Cantenac

  • 1928 Suduiraut

  • 2018 Suduiraut

Chateau Lafite Rothschild Vertical

February 11th 2026

What else is there to say? A rare chance to taste five vintages from one of Bordeaux’s most coveted estates. Classified Premier Grand Cru Classé (First Growth) in 1855, Château Lafite Rothschild sits on Pauillac’s deep gravel croupes and is famed for silken power, graphite-cedar aromatics, and extraordinary longevity. The estate (in the Rothschild family since 1868) is planted predominantly to Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot; the Grand Vin is selected from the oldest parcels, with Carruades de Lafite as the second wine.1928 Brane-Cantenac

Bordeaux Ancient Flight

March 11th 2026

A time-jump through four celebrated eras—balanced with a younger pour for freshness and contrast.

  • 1947 Château d’Yquem (Sauternes) — Post-war legend from a famously ripe Bordeaux year: concentrated botrytis, caramelized stone fruit, orange peel, and saffron, with remarkable acidity for its age.

  • 1959 Château Margaux (Margaux, 1er Cru) — One of the Left Bank’s great classical vintages: silken tannins, cedar and graphite over sweet cassis and violets—pure, refined power.

  • 1970 Dom Pérignon (Champagne) — Mature DP from a strong vintage: toasted brioche, hazelnut, dried citrus and chalk; fine mousse with long, savory autolysis.

  • 2009 Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux — Ripe, modern classic year; the second wine delivers plush black-fruited generosity, floral Margaux perfume, and ready-to-drink charm.
